DVD4030 Morning Alert Artist Gallery Techniques- Art of Painting
5 1/2 Hour Video Painting and Lecture
Time to take your painting to the next level. As an artist David paints many different types of paintings for many markets. The past 2 years have seen a large growth into the gallery market for fine art. What makes a gallery painting? Techniques, colors and a different eye for the story of the painting. For the past several years David has been having some wonderful success moving into this market and now he wants to share those techniques and looks with you. Learn to "see" paintings a new way. Learn to tell a story and then relate your colors to that story. What is a common carry tone and how do you make it? How do you use the mist to unify the painting and direct the viewer's eye. Welcome to gallery techniques! Let's take our painting to a new level.
With "Morning Alert" David will introduce you to some additional gallery techniques which he started with "Lifting Fog". We will paint this painting in about 5 1/2 hours practicing some of those new techniques. Use the mist and fog in a new way to unify and add depth. See how to correctly choose the tones and paint the elk in only 2 quick layers that give such a dramatic impact to the scene.
