Pure Color - Pigment Number: PB 15:3
ASTM Class 1 - Excellent Lightfastness.
Pigment will not change for 100+ years
An instense and powerful mixing blue. It is used by many paint companies as a building block to create a huge spectrum of blues and greens. It is temperature neutral and hue shifts toward green when mixed with earth colors. This color change was embraced in older Scandinavian techniques. Mix with caution- a little goes a long way! We call it the "Schwarzenegger" pigment as it will quickly overpower weaker pigments. Mixing Hansa Yellow and Phthalo Blue 4:1 will give you the brilliant Base Green for Paint It Simply Lessons. Phthalo Blue + Carbon Black creates a Prussian Blue Hue. Phthalo Blue mixes well with Ultramarine Blue for more variations including Sapphire Blue (Phthalo Blue + Ultramarine Blue + Carbon Black + Titanium White).
Heritage MultiMedia Acrylics are a water based non toxic resin acrylic. The binding system contains a 360º coating agent that protects the pigment and improves the overall lightfastness of the color. Dry as needed with a hair dryer and clean up with soap and water.
Heritage MultiSurface Sealer and Varnishes contain UV inhibitors to further protect surfaces. This is especially important when working with delicate papers in decoupaged designs.
For Acrylic techniques, use with water. Out of the tube, they have an approximate drying time of 20 minutes depending on the humidity level in a room.
For Global techniques (oil emulation), use with Extender Medium. By evaporating the water out of the paint and replacing it with Extender you can add hours to the drying time. For more on this process please visit us at Global Art Supply.
